SHP provides ordinary territorial policing across Havenstead.

  Force intelligence and investigation, including serious and complex matters below the NPS national threshold.

• Public protection and safeguarding

  Police public-protection and specialist safeguarding functions within policing competence.

• Public order and incident coordination

  Force-level coordination and public-order policing for incidents requiring support beyond one local command.

• Professional standards and assurance

  Professional standards, organisational learning, workforce assurance and force improvement.

• Criminal justice liaison

  Police liaison with prosecution, courts and justice bodies while preserving the separate responsibilities of each institution.
